Prayer from an artist to her Lord
God,
You seem to want to sing through me. You seem to want to tell stories through me. I am tired of letting my fear of people drive me to try to control this gift, my path. Anything I have to give did not come from me. You open the doors. I keep thinking of Eric Liddell in Chariots of Fire saying, "When I run, I feel God's pleasure." I think I know what he meant, Lord.
Here am I.
Send me.
Use me.
I am the Lord's servant.
May it be to me as you have said.
(Luke 1:38)
You are better than anything else I know.
Love,
Elizabeth
